Forest Honey is harvested on the edge of the woods and bears the designation Protected Geographical Indication. It is liquid, dark in color, almost black.

Polyfloral and very dark brown in color, Honey has a caramel-like aroma, made up of a mixture of various nectars and honeydews, quite persistent in the mouth.

It is characterized by a particular taste, associating flavors of flowers as well as woody aromas of resinous type.

Our honeys are labeled I.G.P Alsace (Protected geographical indication). It is a European sign of origin and quality. Our products therefore benefit from the Miel d'Alsace appellation..

Coming directly from the Beekeeper in Châtenois (Bas Rhin) and member of the Regional Confederation of Beekeepers of Alsace.

The Alsace Forest Honey has been awarded a Protected Geographical Identification (PGI) guaranteeing its origin and specificity.

The PGI specification sets out the production rules.

They are regularly checked by a certification body.

Recognised by this PGI, only honey produced in Alsace in accordance with the specifications laid down can be called Miel d'Alsace.

Alsatian beekeepers are members of the Organisme de Défense et de Gestion (ODG) Miels d'Alsace.
